Winifred H. Quinlan is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Quinlan has over 25 years of experience handling insurance and nursing home defense litigation, as well as complex insurance coverage issues. She has a strong knowledge base regarding insurance industry practices and in seeking rapid resolution of disputes. Ms. Quinlan is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court mediator handling nursing home, medical malpractice, and personal injury cases.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Quinlan handled all aspects of insurance defense litigation; advising on matters regarding extra contractual liability, evaluation of exposure, and coordination of complex claims. She has served as counsel for self-insurers’ funds in the area of workers’ compensation premium collection. For over 10 years, she worked as an attorney for an insurance defense law firm in Maitland, Florida that specialized in first and third party insurance coverage issues. Ms. Quinlan handled insurance coverage opinions and strategically solved cases at state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. She began private practice with an Orlando law firm managing the direction and progress of cases for a major automobile manufacturer in the area of product liability.
Ms. Quinlan received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1995 and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida in 1988 with a major in English. While in law school, she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Bankruptcy.
Ms. Quinlan is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar. She is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
