Kaitlyn E. Tucker is an associate in the Memphis office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Tucker focuses on nursing home defense, assisted living facilities, and in the representation of physicians, hospitals and long term care providers in medical malpractice actions and in matters involving claims of abuse and neglect, negligence, violation of resident’s rights, misconduct, including wrongful death actions, and breach of contract in state and federal courts and before licensing and government agency boards. She advises senior care facilities on risk and compliance issues.

Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Tucker was heavily involved in the defense of healthcare providers, as well as physicians, in medical malpractice actions. Since 2016, she has practiced as an attorney with insurance defense law firms in Tennessee and Texas, where she has collaborated with insurance carriers, healthcare facilities and in-house counsel to resolve litigation and administrative matters. She has also served as second chair trial attorney and appellate counsel on various matters. Ms. Tucker also worked for the Tennessee Division of Heath Care Finance and Administration representing the state in Medicaid eligibility hearings with a focus on federal and state nursing facility benefits. Before practicing law, she worked as a reporter for a Mississippi community publication.

Ms. Tucker received her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May 2014, graduating with a Certificate in Criminal Law. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism from Delta State University, Cleveland, Mississippi in May 2008.

Ms. Tucker is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Texas and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.
