Nicole M. Fernandez is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She focuses her practice in the areas of automobile liability, premises liability, first party property and third-party insurance coverage claims, and all matters pertaining to general negligence. Ms. Fernandez is recognized in Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Fernandez was a senior associate with a Coral Gables law firm representing local and international clients in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal court, and in mediation and arbitration. She handled property disputes, condominium association representation, professional liability issues, business torts, partnership, shareholder, corporate governance disputes and negotiated commercial agreements. Ms. Fernandez was lead associate attorney during several trials including one resulting with a $58.4 million unanimous verdict for a television media joint venture, which was recognized in “Top 100 Verdicts in the United States.” She also represented clients in appeals before the Third District Court of Appeals and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals
Ms. Fernandez received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2012 and Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Florida International University in April 2009 graduating with a major in political science. Ms. Fernandez was a member of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review; she received a Certificate of Achievement in Criminal Procedure and in recognition of her academic achievements during law school, was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Ms. Fernandez is licensed to practice law in Florida. She is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Ms. Fernandez is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
