Danielle M. Barfield is an associate in the Tallahassee office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., focusing her practice on handling appellate law, family law matters, civil litigation, personal injury defense, commercial liability, insurance and insurers, property damage, and wrongful death.  

Before joining QPWB, held the role of Senior Attorney at Children's Legal Services within the Florida Department of Children and Families, where she passionately advocated for the safety, well-being, and permanency of abused, abandoned, and neglected children. She represented the state of Florida throughout dependency proceedings, guiding cases from shelter hearings to termination of parental rights trials. 

Ms. Barfield's commitment to justice and public service is evident throughout her career trajectory. As a Legal Trainee at Capital Collateral Regional Counsel - South in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she represented indigent death row inmates in state and federal post-conviction proceedings, including appeals to the United States Supreme Court. She also gained significant experience at Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, where she interned in the Family Law Unit, assisting survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence in legal proceedings. 

Ms. Barfield earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in May 2018. During her time at law school, she was the recipient of a Public Service Summer Fellowship and served as President of the Public Interest Law Society. Additionally, she was involved in the NSU Trial Association. Before her legal studies, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida, graduating in May 2012. 

Licensed to practice law in Florida, Danielle is an active member of the legal community, contributing her expertise as a committee member of the Florida State Bar Legal Needs of Children Committee from 2022 to 2025.
